A. I have found the CFP 5-step planning methodology to be a powerful framework not only for individuals but also for business owners. As Colorado Financial Planning Association (COFPA) Board Member and Chair of Education, I am passionate about empowering planners and their business owner clients to create businesses that serve their lives. This presentation is my way of serving the business owner community on behalf of COFPA.

Q. What is Money Smart Colorado?
A. Money Smart Colorado is a local, public awareness campaign designed to help consumers better manage their personal finances. This campaign is the result of collaboration of organizations across the state including businesses, financial institutions, schools, libraries, not-for-profits, government agencies and the media. These partners come together once a year to stress the importance of financial literacy, inform consumers where they can get help and provide free educational seminars and activities throughout the week of April 5-12, 2014. Programming is offered to all demographics and income levels; it covers all facets of personal finance from establishing a budget to estate planning to financial planning for small business owners.
